Our Halloween programming ends this week with another short story by Edgar Allan Poe.  Berenice was first published in 1835 in the Southern Literary Messenger, and was the cause for many letters to their editor regarding the violence of the story.  We'll hear a radio adaptation done by the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

Our final Halloween inspired show begins with another episode of Suspense written by Lucille Fletcher.  This one is titled The Diary Of Saphronia Winters, and first aired April 27, 1943.  Then we Believe It Or Not with Weaponless Duel.  We’ll finish off with The Adventures Of Sam Spade and The Fairly Bright Caper from October 31, 1948.

This week we continue our Edgar Allan Poe radio adaptations with The Fall Of The House Of Usher.  This story was first published in Burton's Gentleman's Magazine in 1839, then again a year later in the collection Tales Of The Grotesque And Arabesque.  We heard a version from Escape a few shows back, this time it's from NBC Short Story.

We’ve got more from the mind of Wyllis Cooper this week.  We’ll hear My Son John from Quiet Please.  This one first aired November 28, 1948.

We continue our October exploration of Edgar Allan Poe on radio this week.  We'll hear The Imp Of The Perverse, a short story first published in Graham's Magazine in the July 1845 issue.  A revised version would later be published in a gift book titled May-Flower in 1846.  This radio adaptation was done by The Black Mass, and first aired July 29, 1964.

We continue our salute to Quiet Please and Wyllis Cooper with this episode titled Beezer’s Cellar.  This one first aired exactly 61 years ago today, October 10, 1948.
