We’ve got another spine-chiller from Beyond Midnight for today’s show. There seems to be some question as to the proper title for this one so take your pick: The Upper Berth, The Thing In Cabin 105, or All At Sea. This presumably aired February 28, 1969.

Regarding the title of this episode, I have an ‘anthology’ book by Alfred Hitchcock named ‘Alfred Hitchcok’s Ghostly Gallery”.
In it is a story called ‘The Upper Berth’ by F. Marion Crawford.
I pulled out the book and can say with 100% certainty that the podcast story and the one in my book are the same. There are, of course, changes to make it suitable for a radio program.
Whether the original radio broadcast story was called The Upper Berth, I don’t know.
Hope this helps!
I have an audio book of ghost stories in it that it is also called ‘The Upper Berth’ by F. Marion Crawford.
As with Bryan can’t say about the original broadcast.
