RRT120: The Spiral Staircase by Screen Directors Playhouse
The Screen Directors Playhouse is featured on the show this week. Based on the movie released in December of 1945, we’ll hear The Spiral Staircase. This adaptation first aired November 25, 1949.
Jim, this was wonderful. Thank you very much for putting it up this evening/early morning. I was tiring of CBS Mystery Theater reruns and was delighted to find this posted on Relic radio. I guess now I should see the film, since I have not seen it. It should be pretty good, but I think I should read Ethel Lina White’s novel “Some Must Watch” first. That way I will have a better understanding of how this story was derived. Thanks for this marvelous intro. As always, you do have a way of presenting some really fine stuff. Fun, lots of fun, though I probably shouldn’t say it. Yet, Relic Radio offers so much great entertainment and I get a kick out of it. Thank you very much! I admit that I do await your next selection. THANKS for all you hard work.

Interesting contrast to the movie. Had not heard this one before. Most EXCELLENT, as usual.
Thanks again.
