Dear Jessy: Your story about your dad growing up without a TV included a lot of us Baby Boomers out there. Although TV was available in my area, many of the families around me did not have one. It wasn't necessarily a question of money, but if you were living in a rented house and didn't have a car, certain things took priority. I didn't get a TV until I was about ten. Even then I continued to listen to the radio and attend the Saturday matinees regularly. Listening to Bing Crosby sing Christmas carols always does it to me. Enjoy the memories as you listen.

I can't tell you how much it means to me that you have this available! My father was very poor growing up and didn't have a television in there home til 1965 and he used to sit up at night with his 5 other siblings listening to these. When I was 9 he bought them on cassette for me to give us something creepy and imaginative to listen to on our long road trips across the country every summer. Hearing these make tears come to my eyes and I hope kids and adults treasure these for years to come!
