H262: Turning To Marble by Beyond Midnight
This week we’ll hear from the South African series, Beyond Midnight. This episode, titled Turning To Marble, first aired September 26, 1969. The series itself ran from November of 1968, to April of 1970.
Just to let you know, “Turning to Marble” is an adaptation of the story “The Mask” from Robert W. Chambers’ classic collection of stories, “The King in Yellow”. “The Mask” is one of the first four stories which share one connecting thread. That is the text of a play called “The King in Yellow” – we never read it in full, only exerpts at the beginning of the stories. Like the Necronomicon, setting your eyes of the play will make you go mad.
