I think this is based on a short story by John Collier.
Yes it was. So was Back For Christmas with Peter Lorre that was featured on the thriller podcast recently.
This story is among my all time favorites. I had not heard it in a very long time, and I can never remember the name of it. Seems I remember it being based on a John Collier story, a very good one, Hitchcock like. I could be a good film but actually is probably far superior to a radio story, leaves plenty to the imagination. Thanks!
