Our strange tales this week features adaptations of stories from two famous authors. As heard on Duet, an episode from the Radio City Playhouse, we hear their version of The Lake by Ray Bradbury, and Collector’s Item by Roald Dahl. This program originally aired October 16, 1949.

Interesting listening. The first is a lovely, sweet, tear jerker story, the second very horrible. I’m glad the old woman saved the day. Very fun and ghoulish for mid afternoon on Sunday.
Thank you for sharing these. I’d not heard them before and particularly enjoyed the Bradbury story (it’s sweet & haunting and makes me want to listen to the adaptation of There Will Come Soft Rains again).
You’re welcome!
