The Mystery Playhouse was produced by the Armed Forces Radio Service and featured rebroadcasts of shows from other series. This episode, hosted by Peter Lorre and featuring Boris Karloff, is titled Those Who Walk In Darkness. I don’t know what series it originates from but I think you’ll enjoy it anyway.

Our horror favorite this week comes from Bob. He wanted to hear Valse Triste from Lights Out. This episode was originally done with Boris Karloff in 1938, but that recording isn’t available. The version we’ll hear features Dinah Shore, Lou Merrill, and Joseph Kearns, and aired December 29, 1942.
Merry Christmas! Our Saturday horror is a bit early this week in order to share this holiday classic on time. We hear the Campbell Playhouse adaptation of A Christmas Carol, featuring Orson Welles. This one aired December 23, 1938.
Jay sent in one of his favorites this week from Beyond Midnight. Generally known as The Visits, I don’t believe that title to be correct according to some newer information. I believe the proper title is The House, which aired June 27, 1969. Either way, it’s a fun episode. Thanks Jay!

The CBS Radio Mystery Theater brings us our tale of horror this week. We’ll hear The Real Printers Devil, which first aired July 17, 1974.

Matthew asked to hear an episode from The Hermit’s Cave, one we haven’t heard for a long time here on The Horror, titled House With A Past. I don’t have an air date for this episode, but it’s safe to say it was heard sometime in the 1940’s.
