The forum will be shut down this coming Monday, September, 7.  There doesn’t seem to be much interest in it anymore, and since the domain name expires in a few days it’s as good a time as any to close it down.

My apologies to those who’ll miss it, and thanks to those who’ve enjoyed it in the past.

This does not effect this site, or the podcasts.

The final episode of Legacy Of Laughs will be posted August 27, 2015.  All episodes of the podcast, and its feed, will be deleted from the site September 5, 2015.  Download what you’d like now!

Radio At War has come to an end as well.  All episodes from this podcast, and its feed, will be removed September 1, 2015.

The shows you’re used to hearing on these two podcasts will be added to the mix of The Relic Radio Show.

Apologies, and thanks, to those who’ve enjoyed these podcasts over the last eight years!

Share. will be switching to a new, phone and tablet friendly audio player soon.

The site was changed some time ago to work better on mobile devices, but the existing audio player doesn’t work on phones or tablets.  If you’ve visited the site on one of those devices, you’ve undoubtedly seen the grayed out box on each post that states, “Adobe Flash Player is required to play this audio…”.  That will be addressed soon with a new player, one that’s actually built into the software running the site, that will be implemented on the posts for new episodes.

That’s the good news.  Here’s the “but”.

Because of the way that player is added to each episodes post, the old player has to be uninstalled.  That means only posts that are manually edited to include the new player will have a player at all.  With over 2,000 posts on the site, manually editing each one is not an option.  That’s why this change hasn’t been made sooner.

Podcast episodes without the new player can still be listened to a couple of different ways (aside from downloading them).  If you use Chrome or Firefox, or if you’re using a mobile device, clicking on the “Download xxxx”  link on a post will play it in the browser.  You can also visit the Listening Room and use the player there.

I hope the change doesn’t cause to much consternation.  And, just to be clear, it will have no effect on the podcasts themselves as far as iTunes and the like goes.  At least we can say goodbye to those damn little gray boxes!

There’s a new official Relic Radio page on Facebook.  Here’s the link:

It seems after an IP address change here at Relic Radio HQ, Facebook decided it needed to double check that I am, in fact, me.  Being proactive with my online security/privacy, the last thing I’m going to do is give Facebook any true personal information.  The problem is they use your birthday to verify your account at times, and since I didn’t give the real date, and failed to write the date I gave down somewhere, I couldn’t get back into my account.  Thus, the new one.

Sorry for the inconvenience!  Hope you’ll join me over there.

(Just in case I forget again, my “birthday” is September 21, 1975.  Yeah, we’ll go with that.)

Every now and again I get an inquiry about radio adaptations of stories by H.P. Lovecraft.  I had in the past made them available for download in a small collection, but it seems during one of the many redesigns the file was ‘lost’.

Here, once again, is the collection of four Lovecraft stories adapted for radio.  The Dunwich Horror, The Outsider, Rats In The Walls, and Beyond The Wall Of Sleep.

**Update**  It’s Alive!  And available via iTunes!

The first episode has been posted.  If you’d like to manually put this podcast into your podcast aggregator use this feed:

Find it on iTunes by searching for “Into The West” in the podcast section, or via this link:

There’s a new show headed to Relic Radio!  Filling the western sized hole in the line up will be Into The West.  And, in the usual Relic Radio fashion, it will feature as much western flavored radio drama as I can rope up.

I’m still getting things organized, but I did finish the artwork for it today.  Here’s a preview:

Into The West

I hope you’ll enjoy the new show!  More info to come soon.
