On this episode of Strange Tales we’ll enjoy a show from the Australian production of The Clock. The series had originated in the U.S., running from 1946 to 1948, before being reborn in Australia eight years later. We’ll hear Ghost Story, which aired December 13, 1955.
Our strange tale this week was adapted from the novella by George Eliot titled The Lifted Veil. The story was first published in 1859, and this radio adaptation first aired January 9, 1944 on The Weird Circle.
Created and produced by Himan Brown, Inner Sanctum aired for nine years producing weird little tales like the one we’ll hear today. First airing May 1, 1945 here’s The Girl On The Gallows.
This week we’ll hear from Quiet, Please. This series aired from June of 1947, to June of 1949 producing 109 episodes. We’ll hear It’s Later Than You Think, which first aired August 2, 1948.
