Jim, you alluded to the thought that the earlier episodes of Suspense were better than the later ones. I would agree, probably due in large part to William Spier who was the producer, director and editor from 1942-1950.

I still think a bad Suspense episode is still pretty good though!
Jim, I agree. a bad suspense episode is better that what most shows could do on a good day. In my opinion about half of the Suspense episodes are good ones.
